Over the last six months Brittany Ferries has invested in a comprehensive and independent review of security on board its ships. The review led to a series of recommendations and these are now being implemented across the company’s fleet of 10 ships operating on the western channel from Portsmouth, Poole and Plymouth.

Brittany Ferries confirms LNG cross-channel ferry order

Almost exactly a year after the Brexit vote, Brittany Ferries has confirmed the order for a new LNG cruise ferry with a budget of around £175m. It will operate on the company’s busiest route from Portsmouth to Caen with a planned arrival in spring 2019 - as Brexit negotiations move towards completion.

Fantastic beasts and where to find them?

Blue whales, basking sharks, sword fish and blue sharks: these are just some of the fantsatic beasts that have been seen from the side of ferries sailing from Britain to Spain this year. In total 16,311 sea creatures have been spotted from Brittany Ferries’ ships by excited passengers and wildlife officers from marine conservation charity ORCA, who are stationed aboard regular services.

More Brits turn to French roads to reignite their love of motoring

Brittany Ferries has reported a large increase in the number of Brits turning to France and northern Spain to reignite their love affair with motoring. In the last four years, there has been an 84% rise in those taking a sail-and-stay car or motorcycle tour. The company has added more of these products to its portfolio in 2017, a consequence of growing demand from petrol heads.
