Save hundreds of pounds on a 2017 holiday by booking now with Brittany Ferries

3rd November 2016

There’s a 20 percent discount applicable to all Brittany Ferries sail-and-stay gite, cottage and casa holidays for customers who book before 25 October. Launched this week, the offer is available for breaks throughout the year, including Easter, spring half-term break and the school summer holidays.

Booking early secures a choice of accommodation in some of the most beautiful areas of France and Spain, to which Brittany Ferries sails directly from Portsmouth, Poole and Plymouth. It also guarantees space on the most popular routes and crossings, and particularly for cabins at weekends, many of which are booking up fast for next year’s summer season.

“The offer promises big savings for customers and Brittany Ferries remains one of the few operators to take a modest £40 per person deposit to secure the holiday,” commented Christiane Barker, Brittany Ferries general manager holidays. “The balance is payable six weeks before departure, and this helps spread the cost of holidays for families into 2017 as we head towards the Christmas period.”

As well as limited cabin space on some crossings, popular parts of France and Spain are already booking fast for the summer season. Properties close to beaches and those with their own pools are understandably the first to sell out, but this year the team has seen particularly strong demand for accommodation in the Finistère region of Brittany.

“Properties in Southern Brittany are current hot spots and many bookings are from customers who stay year after year,” added Barker. “This isn’t really surprising of course. Once you’ve experienced the beauty of Southern Brittany and have seen how accessible it is from our ports of arrival like Roscoff and St Malo, it’s hard not to keep coming back.”

Examples of popular properties in Finistère, still with some availability at the height of next summer include:

About Brittany Ferries

Brittany Ferries is a passenger car and freight service operating from eleven ports, linking four countries: UK – France, UK – Spain and Ireland – France. The company was set up by a collective of French farmers as a freight-only operator, running from Roscoff in Brittany to Plymouth with the first crossing taking place on 1 January 1973, the date the United Kingdom joined the EEC (forerunner to the EU).

The aim then was to bring French agricultural products to a wider British market. However, the service quickly developed into an operation carrying hundreds of thousands of British tourists, eager to experience the delights of Brittany and Normandy. Today Brittany Ferries is the market leader on the Western Channel for passengers and for freight. It is also a leading supplier of ferry-inclusive motoring holidays to France and Spain.
