With one year to go, Brittany Ferries presents its own Ryder Cup Challenge

2nd October 2017

Test yourself against the world’s best by playing the Golf National near Paris. That’s the challenge Brittany Ferries is setting pros, amateurs and enthusiasts as the world prepares for the greatest match play event in France next September.

Brittany Ferries is an approved operator of Ryder Cup Travel Services. For the event itself it is offering a programme that includes sailings from Portsmouth and the official Ryder Cup ticket and accommodation package. That includes five nights’ hotel, four-day standard Ryder Cup admission and all transfers from hotels to the Golf National. But the company is also urging golfers to take to the greens ahead of the world’s best. As part of the launch of sail-and-stay golf breaks to France and Spain 2018, it is offering a £599 package to play the Ryder Cup course. That includes two nights on board (including cabins) two nights bed-and-breakfast at the Hotel le Versailles and three rounds at Golf de Courson, Golf National and Golf de Rochefort.

The company is also offering savings for early birdies: there’s ten percent off all sail-and-stay golf break prices for bookings made before 30 October.“Our Ryder Cup package is the jewel in the crown of our 2018 golf breaks,” said Graham Ruth, director of Brittany Ferries golf – and keen golfer. “We offer hundreds of sail and stay breaks to play some of the most challenging and picturesque courses throughout France and Spain every year, but I have no doubt the Golf National will be among our most popular next year.” All 2018 golf packages are on sale now. Planning one is hassle free thanks to Brittany Ferries’ dedicated golf desk. Staffed by experienced golfers, the team can take care of everything from tee times to hotel accommodation and ferry bookings.
“Our golf desk offers a truly bespoke experience for the regular weekender and curious amateur,” concluded Graham Ruth. “We say the only thing you need to worry about is your swing because it’s true. Our experts will do everything else for you.”

About Brittany Ferries
Brittany Ferries is a passenger car and freight service operating from eleven ports, linking four countries: UK – France, UK – Spain and Ireland – France. The company was set up by a collective of French farmers as a freight-only operator, running from Roscoff in Brittany to Plymouth with the first crossing taking place on 1 January 1973, the date the United Kingdom joined the EEC (forerunner to the EU).
The aim then was to bring French agricultural products to a wider British market. However, the service quickly developed into an operation carrying hundreds of thousands of British tourists, eager to experience the delights of Brittany and Normandy. Today Brittany Ferries is the market leader on the Western Channel for passengers and for freight. It is also a leading supplier of ferry-inclusive motoring holidays to France and Spain.
