All aboard for free: kids sail on us this summer

Brittany Ferries is inviting families to make the most of summer with a Kids Go Free offer, giving children aged 15 and under free travel on all routes to France and Spain until 31st October 2026.

Available on every Brittany Ferries sailing and applicable to all passenger vehicle types as well as foot passenger fares, the offer is open to families travelling to some of Europe’s most popular holiday destinations, from Brittany and Normandy to the Atlantic coast and beyond.

Families looking to stretch their budget further can combine the Kids Go Free offer with a Brittany Ferries holiday package. Booking ferry travel alongside accommodation, from as little as one night, unlocks a saving of up to 30 per cent on the ferry fare, on top of children sailing on the ferry for free. The holidays programme spans cottages, villas, hotels, chalet campsites and apartments across France, Spain and Portugal, with options to suit all tastes and family sizes.

The promotion covers the child fare across all ticket types, with additional charges applying for onboard accommodation and add-ons. Children travelling free just need to be accompanied by a full-paying adult.

The offer forms part of Brittany Ferries’ wide family offer this summer, with its fleet of cruise ferries offering dedicated children’s play areas, video arcades, onboard cinemas, live entertainment, and the Ferrynauts app – an interactive experience designed for explorers aged 7 to 13. In addition, from 15th July to 31st August, onboard children’s menus for under 12s start from just €5 in self-service restaurants, or €6.50 for table service.

Families wishing to take advantage of the promotion are advised to book without delay: the offer closes at 23:59 on Monday 6th July 2026.

About Brittany Ferries

Brittany Ferries was conceived in 1972, starting life as a freight-only ferry-service on 2nd January the following year. The first vessel (Kerisnel) linked Roscoff in Brittany with Plymouth on the southwest of England and carried a cargo of cauliflowers and cognac. Since then, the company has progressively launched, then strengthened its shipping routes. In more than 52 years of service, millions of passengers and businesses have travelled by sea across the so-called Atlantic Arc (France, UK, Spain and Ireland). They rely on the links forged by more than five decades of experience. In addition to cutting congestion and emissions on busy roads, Brittany Ferries’ motorways-of the sea have helped enrich local communities, creating jobs, nurturing international tourism and boosting cross-border trade. Five new vessels joined the fleet between 2019 and 2025. Two LNG-electric-hybrids (Saint-Malo in February 2025 and Guillaume de Normandie in April 2025) complete the largest fleet renewal programme in the company’s history.
